With over 15 years in law enforcement experience, Sgt. Cavanaugh has worked on developing policies and procedures for various agencies. He has created and documented field training programs that have been very successful, as well as written numerous policies that had a commonsense approach.
He has a practical process to create guidelines and policies to bring agencies into compliance with national standards, and is a leading expert in the law enforcement community. Aside from his duties as a Police Sergeant in a nearby community, Sgt. Cavanaugh is also an instructor in several areas of first responder emergency medicine. In the past, Sgt. Cavanaugh has consulted for public health departments during the COVID19 pandemic, developing policy and procedure documentation and training. Along with this, Sgt. Cavanaugh has worked with various contractors to ensure compliance in water testing analysis and well pump installations that met local ordinances. Sgt. Cavanaugh holds certifications from Massachusetts POST, MPTC, FBI, DEA, and numerous other agencies.
